Situated on the west coast of Mexico, Banderas Bay offers sanctuary to a great profusion of sea life, the largest and most famous of which is the magnificent Humpback whale. Every winter, from mid-December to the end of March, Humpback whales migrate south from their arctic feeding grounds to breed and rear their young in the warm, protected waters of Banderas Bay, offering some of the most spectacular whale watching opportunities in the world.
During whale watching season, Humpback whales are regularly sighted in Banderas Bay as we cruise towards the tropical paradise of Las Caletas aboard our first-class catamarans. The sight of these awesome marine mammals in their natural habitat, whether they be feeding, mating, frolicking with their calves or just "cooling" out, will surely be a magical and unforgettable part of your Puerto Vallarta vacation!
